Türkiye’s first and only UNESCO City of Literature, Kahramanmaraş, received numerous applications from writers in 29 countries for the inaugural edition of its International Writers’ Residency Program.
It was a genuine pleasure to get to know the writers behind these remarkable applications and to discover the exciting literary projects they proposed. With so many strong and distinctive voices represented, selecting the residents was far from easy.
We would first like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the writers from around the world who showed such interest in our program, and to wish them every success in their continuing literary journeys. We very much hope that our paths will cross again through future editions of the residency and other literary events in Kahramanmaraş.
