11th International Kahramanmaraş Book Fair Set to Open Its Doors

The 11th International Kahramanmaraş Book Fair—one of Anatolia’s largest and most prestigious literary gatherings—is set to welcome book lovers from October 16 to 25, 2026, at the KAFUM Exhibition Center.

As Türkiye’s first and only UNESCO City of Literature, Kahramanmaraş continues to expand its cultural and artistic footprint. True to its UNESCO designation, the ten-day fair will serve as a major cultural crossroads, bringing readers of all ages face-to-face with distinguished voices from the worlds of literature, arts, and intellectual thought.

A Rich Cultural & Literary Program

This year’s edition will feature 150 publishing houses, 400 participating authors, and 50 panel discussions. The fair will host a prominent lineup of thinkers, scholars, and writers, including Coşkun Yılmaz, Kemal Sayar, Sıtkı Aslanhan, İsmail Kara, Beyhan Budak, Altay Cem Meriç, Tarık Tufan, and Savaş Barkçin, among many others.

In addition to book signings and publisher showcases, the fair program includes special commemorative events honoring two titan figures of Kahramanmaraş’s literary heritage, featuring the Bahaeddin Karakoç Poetry Tribute on Saturday, October 17 at 18:00, followed by the Nuri Pakdil Memorial Program on Sunday, October 18 at 15:00.

Through its expansive series of discussions, author signings, and publisher exhibits, the KAFUM Exhibition Center will transform into Anatolia’s vibrant epicenter of literature and culture for ten days.
